Follow the luwatu road southwest for a few kilometers to reach the turn off to dreamland and balangan surf beaches. Dreamland beach, a long strech  of stunning coast with great surf, wide, gloriously white sands, and breathtakingly aquamarine waters.

Accessible via a long flight of steep steps, it s  a popular spot  both with day trippers from Kuta and surfers that come for the fast left and right peak and the chance off grabbing some unusually long rides.

The set up at Balangan, access via a dirt track running north from dreamland, is similar, and the attracion is the speedy left-hander over the shallow reef.
